About PCCYA
The PCC young adults simply want to do life together. We don’t “run a program,” with a catchy name, or have a “young adult service.” Our vision is to live the life God intended us to live. We want to be the church, God's people on a mission. So it usually looks pretty organic but we are very intentional. Living together in community as young adults is centered on PCC’s four values of prayer, growth, service and celebration.

Some of our young adults live together as roommates and use their homes as places for gatherings, events, prayer, and meals. Others meet regularly in small groups for prayer, Bible study, entertainment, adventure and to wrestle through life’s issues, deal with hardships, and care for each other. In our vision to do life as God's people we strive to pray a lot together, focus on knowing and sharing the Bible, and to give generously by sharing our stuff and helping others.

With the support of the inter-generational relationships of the greater church, we seek to authentically be who God created us to be so we can enjoy the life he gave us. We simply seek to share life as the church and live on God's mission of the Great commandment (Matthew 22:37) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). In an effort to be a living and serving community we have weekly times we get together (see below) and regular opportunities to serve (check serve tab to find out more).
Gods People on a Mission
Sunday Celebration
We have three PCC Sunday worship gatherings. Most of us gather at 5:30pm for our Sunday Night Worship gathering. It’s a “church service” but if you haven’t been to one in a while, it’s not what you would expect. It’s casual dress and music like you would hear on the radio. We expect that people don’t just come and sit in our building then leave, that's not being the Church. When you come, someone will talk about God, share stories, teach from the Bible, and explore life's issues, but we believe there is more to being the church than just listening.

We try to create space for people to engage in conversations with each other, ask questions, and pray together to experience God. Sometimes we even use our phone to text questions, or just blurt them out to the pastor speaking. We invite you to come and learn, even simply observe for awhile. We are cool with that. Our hope is that we can be authentic with where we all our on our spiritual journey and share our questions, hurts and doubts in a safe environment. You don’t have to have it all together to come. Come as you are and when you experience God you can't help but change. We want to be about knowing God, our creator, and how much loves us with a good plan for our lives.

After the worship gathering (around 7pm) anyone and everyone is invited to go downtown Redwood City to Cafe La Tartine, Chipotle, Pizza My Heart, etc and grab dinner/coffee to chat and hang out. Board games, movies at Century 20, laughing and prayer are the norm. We intentionally try to use the time to make friendships, invite friends, connect with people in our city, and be the Church. It's a process, and sometimes it's messy, but we invite you along for the ride.
